The WMRG of the Geological Society will be hosting a 2 hour guided tour of the world famous Wrens Nest SSI. Led by Graham Worton, Keeper of Geology for the Dudley Borough, the circular walk will take in the various formations and depositional environments exposed through many years of quarrying. Sedimentary structures and a plethora of fossils await the visitor. Graham will explain why this site is so important and will give an update on the Black Country Unesco Geopark Status application.<\/p>\n

If you would like to participate contact geostart@geostart.co.uk to register. Participation is free of charge. There will be an opportunity to socialise over a drink in the pub after the tour.<\/p>\n
